Willets Point United congratulates State Senator Bill Perkins for winning the coveted "Friend in High Places Award" from The Historic Districts Council. Senator Perkins has been one of the few political voices to speak out against eminent domain abuse and he has held hearings regarding the topic. These efforts are part of why he was chosen for the honor. We look forward to congratulating him in person at the awards ceremony on May 12th, 2011.
